After read three blogs and watched videos, I find they are all helpful for me to know more about the function of human brain, and better knowing that how to design the learning plan for the leaner. The three instruction style in ālearning theoriesā which are behaviorism, cognitivism and constructivism are applied to different learners. For example, traditional middle school teaching method in our country is tend to behaviourism. Teachers would through large amount of practise to force students memorizing a topic of knowledge, and frequent unit quiz provide feedback to the teacher. Students would spend more time practise what they are not familiar with. During college, my learning style is more combination of cognitivism and constructivism, I realized that the best way to leaner is making target information meaningful to the learner. In other words, people are easier and faster assimilate knowledge with memory point that relevant to their previous life experiences. Therefore, solid foundational knowledge is important for this type of learning style, because knowledge is tightly interlocked, a false move and everything could be misunderstand in the later studying. However, donāt panic about what i were saying, it just my own learning style, heijame said in the blog āeach individualās mental representation of knowledge is flexible and open to constant changeā. each person would have their own learning theory to apply.
